small gathering guidelines
Cornerstone Church spent time looking over the Alabama Department of Public Health guidelines as well as discussed what is reasonable and achievable. These are safety guidelines for any Cornerstone small gatherings to be consistent. We believe that from the beginning we all need to clearly communicate these guidelines to exhibit confidence.
Safety guidelines
All groups need to be a maximum of 10 people.
Recommend social distancing (6 ft apart)
Recommend using proper hygiene
Cover coughs and sneezes, don't touch your face, and wash hands often
No intermingling. Once a group is set, that group needs to stay together until guidelines have been lifted.
Each group experience is encouraged to be outside; if it is moved inside the leaders will be asked to wear a mask.
Outside- no mask
Inside- mask worn by leader
Review this list of symptom questions with each participant (adults and children) before they enter the gathering.
Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath or sore throat?
Have you had a fever in the past 48 hours?
Have you experienced a new loss of taste or smell?
Have you experienced vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
Are you or any member of your household awaiting Covid-19 test results?
Anyone answering βyesβ to any of the screening questions should leave the premises immediately and seek medical care, COVID-19 testing, or both. Anyone awaiting COVID-19 test results should wait to participate until negative test results are received.
With these guidelines, we feel confident in beginning to welcome small gatherings (kids, youth, adults). As the numbers continue to decrease, we can always remove guidelines that may not be needed later on, but with these in place, we can begin to meet in person and keep everyone involved safe.
Ultimately, you have the final choice to make the best decision for you and your family.
