Here’s what’s happening this month at Cornerstone Kids. You will find information about what the kids are learning, preview videos, take home materials and more.

Happy Fall, friends! What do the story of Moses, the Mystery Machine, make believe camp fires and Magnificent Mondays all have in common? All of these will help inspire the faith of our kids this month in Cornerstone Kids, and it’s going to be great! On Sunday mornings our little ones will enjoy an outdoor adventure while learning through the life of Moses that God’s way is perfect. Our elementary children will learn to overcome their fears like Moses did and to have Courage. Each Sunday this month will be filled with wonderful truths from God’s word, engaging lessons and lively worship to help our kids grow in their faith and in their love for the Lord.

mmOn Monday, October 11, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. we’ll host our awesome 4th and 5th graders in Rock City for Magnificent Mondays. We hope your kids will join us for this monthly gathering focused on building faith, great food and loads of fun. Friends are welcome! Go here to register.

mm1New this month, our 4th and 5th graders will also be joining with the rest of the church family to participate in the Lord’s Supper. We are teaching on Communion this month with our 4th and 5th grade groups, and on Sunday morning, October 16, these kids are invited to participate in this special sacrament. We couldn’t be more excited about this, and we know the kids are, too!

Here’s more on what’s happening in Cornerstone Kids.

In “The Great Adventure” we’ll be exploring God’s word and discovering how His way is perfect. Through the story of Moses, our preschoolers will see how God had a great plan for his life. They will learn that God’s way was the perfect way for Moses, and it’s the perfect way for all of us! All month long our kids will enjoy our outdoor exploring theme with fun camping gear, flashlights, campfires and more; all to inspire lots of great imaginative play with friends. Our sweet explorers will journey with Moses from his amazing rescue as a baby to the parting of the Red Sea. Towards the end of the month a special treat will go home for our little ones to enjoy! Be sure to pick up your October placemat, keep it on the table all month long and talk with your children about all they are learning. Take a minute and check out this month’s Preview Video for more information about October in Pebble Path.

Scooby Doo and his friends are helping us out in Rock City this month to overcome our fears as we look at what the Bible has to say about Courage. We’ve all had moments where we’ve been crippled by fear. But we hope through this month’s teachings that our kids will come to know that they can stand up to their fears and anxieties because of the strength and courage that God provides in their lives. We’ll look at the lives of some “everyday heroes” in the Old Testament who remind us that we can always trust in God, even if we don’t know the outcome. Through these stories, we want to equip our kids in Rock City with the confidence to be everyday heroes as they trust God to help them stand up to tough situations with friends, at home, and at school. Our Preview Video is a great overview of all our kids are learning this month in Rock City. We hope you will take a few minutes to watch it.
