This week kicks off the first of 10 weeks of WinShape Camps for Communities across the country. There are camps in 95 communities sharing the love of Jesus with close to 25,000 kids. WinShape Camps for Communities provides an unprecedented day camp experience for campers that have completed grades 1-9.

Whether you like soccer, science, or anything in between, there is something for everyone at WinShape Camps for Communities. Come be a part of this incredible adventure where we combine sports, recreation, arts, Bible study and worship into one incredible week.

Here in the Auburn-Opelika area, Cornerstone will be serving more than 300 kids during the week of June 20-24. Right now we have 300 campers registered, which is already more than last year and there is still two weeks to go. Registration is still open and will be right up until camp kicks off. Find registration information here.

This is where we need your help. Because we expect a bigger group of kids registering this year, we found an alternate location to host the camp. Parkway Baptist Church is a facility partner and is letting us use their space for the entire week of WinShape Camp. But with the larger space comes bigger needs. We need even more volunteers and more scholarship sponsors than last year.

So you want to help by volunteering? Volunteers need to be at least 16 years old and have a heart to serve. If volunteering is what you want to do, you can volunteer for half a day, all five days or something in between. Just a little insider information, we need volunteers in the afternoon more than the morning ,but we still need both. Go here to sign up to volunteer or email Aimee Northrup at aimee@cornerstonebuzz.org.

Maybe your schedule won’t let you volunteer? How about sponsoring a camper or two or ten? You can help by making a tax deductible gift in support of our scholarships that help kids who normally couldn’t afford a day camp like WinShape. Email Ginny Hand at ginny@cornerstonebuzz.org to provide a scholarship or scholarships.

As you can see, there is somewhere for everyone to plug in at WinShape Camps for Communities. We hope you find your place, because the campers need your help (and we do too)! For more information on WinShape Camps, go here.
