Many of you already know Emily. She has been involved in Cornerstone’s children’s ministry for almost three years. She and her family have attended Cornerstone, Hamilton Road site, since 2011. Just last week Emily stepped into her new role with us as Early Childhood Ministry Coordinator. In this position, she will work closely with the Cornerstone Kids staff to serve the younger children and families who attend Cornerstone. She will prepare Sunday morning lessons, lead volunteer teams, work with interns and help coordinate special events.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work and has several years of experience serving children and families in our community. She has worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lee County, the Domestic Violence Intervention Center, as a social worker for DHR and a therapeutic social worker for the Lee County Youth Development Center. Emily is also active as a Lee County Autism Resource Advocacy member. She is an avid Auburn fan, enjoys inspirational movies, and loves listening to praise and worship music.

Emily and Ron have been married for 13 years and have four boys ranging from 3 to 10 years old – Chase, Liam, Titus and Justice. It has been such a blessing to have Emily on our ministry team for the past few years, and we look forward to seeing how God will continue to work through her to impact the faith of many in her new role.
