We’ve got some amazing kids at Cornerstone and we consider it a joy to know them, to serve them and to see God shaping their hearts for Him and His glory! We enjoyed the extra time we spent with many of your kids this summer – we had a blast! In all that we did, it was obvious that our kids are excited about their faith and that they are yearning to grow closer to God. If you haven’t seen pictures from our summer happenings, you can check them out here.
We look forward to all that God has in store for our kids as we look ahead. This month in Pebble Path our children will be learning God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Our Rock City kids will grow in their understanding of God’s character and Respect.
We’ll spend this month in Pebble Path helping our little ones understand these three basic truths – God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Through some wonderful Bible stories, sweet worship songs, and fun activities our volunteers will help our children embrace these foundational truths firmly in their little hearts.
It’s all about Respect this month. Our August memory verse is: “Show proper respect to everyone.” 1 Peter 2:17a. This simple verse is an important reminder that everyone deserves our respect. All month long we will help our kids discover that God is in charge of everything, and that God deserves our respect because of His ultimate authority, and if we respect God we will also respect the people He has given authority to – especially those who lead and protect us.
The next Infant Baptism Sunday is August 31 for Hamilton Road attenders. To have your infant (through 18 months old) baptized during morning worship, contact Lynn Blount at email@example.com.
Baptism Celebration is September 7 at the Lee-Scott site. Come worship, eat, and fellowship with the Cornerstone community as we celebrate the covenant of baptism. Bring chairs, blankets, friends, and family. For information on taking a next step in baptism, contact Lynn Blount at firstname.lastname@example.org.
