Here’s what’s happening this month at Cornerstone Kids. You will find information about what the kids are learning, preview videos, take home materials and more.
“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!” In just a few days you’ll probably be hearing these words sung along with many other familiar tunes. The Christmas season is upon us, and I’m guessing that your kids are excited to say the least. In both Rock City and Pebble Path this month, kids will learn that the Christmas story offers more to beexcited about beyond trees, candy, and elves.
The little ones in Pebble Path will hear a part of the Christmas story each week in December as they build their own manger scene. The idea is for them to take home a nativity set that they have made and will be able to treasure for years as they grow in their understanding of the gift that Jesus is to us. You can see a preview of their lessons here.
In Rock City, students will dig a little deeper into the events surrounding the birth of Jesus. Kids will look at Joy—finding a way to be happy even when things don’t go our way. We can be happy or sad based on our circumstances, but true joy is found in the hope that Christ provides. Our Cornerstone Kids team hopes that each child in Rock City takes away the message that they can have joy even in the hard times because of what God has done for us. You can see a preview of their lessons here.
We hope that you’ll join us on Sunday mornings as we celebrate the Christmas story and as God grows your child’s understanding of the beautiful meaning behind it! Merry Christmas!
