We are very excited about adding another service and about Making Room for more children to come to know the love of our Heavenly Father and to grow in their faith here are Cornerstone. Each week, we create a welcoming atmosphere of fun in Cornerstone Kids. Using exciting games and crafts, upbeat worship music, drama, and engaging Bible stories, we strive to build a foundation of faith in the lives of our children as we love them and lead them to know and serve Jesus.
Adding another service will help our children have a better overall experience in Cornerstone Kids. An additional service will spread our children out a bit. Pebble Path classrooms and our Rock City area will feel roomier. Children, especially visitors, will be more comfortable coming into rooms and groups that aren’t quite so full. And, our volunteers will have smaller groups of children to pour into – which means, they will get to know each child more personally.
As we shift to three services, we also have more opportunities available for volunteers to impact our children. There are many ways you can use your gifts, talents and interests to serve with us. You might enjoy rocking babies in the nursery. You might like leading a lesson in a four-year-old class. You might be a great fit to lead a small group of fifth graders. Maybe you have musical abilities and would like to be involved in our children’s worship. Or, you might be a technology buff and would enjoy helping with our stage lights and sound. Whatever your interests, if you have a heart for children and a desire to see them grow in their faith, we’ve got a place for you in Cornerstone Kids!
By serving with Cornerstone Kids, you have an amazing opportunity to bless our children and their families. When you share a smile and a hug with a child, you are sharing God’s love with them. When you play, laugh or sing with our children, you are helping them experience the joy of our Lord. When you tell a Bible story or lead a lesson activity, you are helping our children connect with God and His Word and learn to apply it to their lives.
Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name, welcomes me.” Matthew 18:5. We would love for you to stop by and visit us in Cornerstone Kids at Hamilton Road or our Lee Scott site. Come see what we’re all about! We hope you’ll want to stay and serve with us!
