Heavenly Father,
We know in Isaiah 41:10 you tell us, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Lord, we know that being parent is one of best jobs one could ever have, but we must confess sometimes that it is a tough gig. Having a child with a special need can be a tougher gig at times. I pray that you will wrap your arms around these families to help them not feel anxious or embarrassed but that they understand that each person was fearfully and wonderfully made. Father, I pray that friends, family, and those people that interact on a daily basis with our special friends will be sensitive to their feelings and help them to not be uncomfortable as they navigate through their day to day life. Please give strength to the families as only you can, because sometimes it can be greater than what they can handle. Help them know that you are right there with them Lord. In Your precious name, Amen.

Challenge: I hope that each one of you will take time to seek out a family with a child with special needs. Learn more about them and pray for them. Pray that the families and the people who interact with them will have more energy and greater patience with our special friends.
