GPS (Group Preparation and Selection) is a program designed specifically to educate potential foster parents. Topics covered in GPS meetings include the impact fostering may have on your family, behavior management techniques, separation and loss issues and more. This preparation program will consist of 10 meetings totaling 30 classroom hours. In addition, the leader will schedule a time to interview you and other family members in your home. These classes are required to become a foster parent. THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS SUNDAY, JANUARY 6.
